Method
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 1–1.5 inch meatballs using your hands or a scoop.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Place cooked meatballs into sub rolls. Spoon marinara sauce over them and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return subs to the air fryer at 390°F (195°C) for 2–3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Remove and serve hot. Optionally garnish with fresh herbs.

Use any ground meat of your choice—beef, turkey, or chicken. You can also prep the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them for future meals. Great for gatherings and meal prep!
