Ingredients

For the Apple Wedges
  • 3 medium medium apples (any variety, peeled and cut into wedges)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for warm flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (adds sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (prevents browning and adds flavor)
For the Dipping Sauce
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pinch salt (optional for elevating flavors)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar until evenly coated.
  2. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should be tender and slightly crispy.
  2. While the apples are cooking, whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in the caramel sauce into the whipped cream. If desired, add a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
Serving
  1. Once the apple wedges are done, remove them from the air fryer and serve hot with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftover apple wedges in an airtight container for up to three days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes. The caramel whipped cream sauce is best fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days; shake or stir well before serving again.
