Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 piece pre-made pie crust Store-bought for ease, or homemade if you prefer.
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Sliced for the best flavor and texture.
  • 2.5 cups milk Whole milk for creaminess; any milk will do.
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding mix Instant or homemade will work.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For an added layer of flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped cream Optional but highly recommended for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix and milk together until thickened. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. Slice the bananas and arrange half of them evenly at the bottom of the pie crust.
  3. Carefully pour the pudding mixture over the bananas, ensuring they are completely covered.
  4. Layer the rest of the banana slices on top of the pudding.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. Place the pie in the basket and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Once done, let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This will help the filling set.
  2. Top with fresh whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!

Use overripe bananas for optimal sweetness. Experiment with different pudding mix flavors, like butterscotch or chocolate. The pie can be frozen before cooking for later use, thaw overnight before air frying.
