Ingredients

For the coating
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten To help the breadcrumb coating stick.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs give extra crunch.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • Optional spices: Garlic powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper For added flavor.
For the curds
  • 8 oz cheese curds Fresh cheddar cheese curds are the best!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In one bowl, place the flour. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, and any optional spices.
  3. Dip each cheese curd into the flour, coat it evenly, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture to coat thoroughly.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the coated cheese curds in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded for even cooking.
  2. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking!
Serving
  1. Remove the cheese curds from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, marinara, or hot sauce.
