Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced (yellow or white)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder and onion powder, to taste

Method
 

  1. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, toss the sliced steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the steak in a single layer in the basket and air fry for about 7 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onions and bell peppers for 5–6 minutes until softened.
  5. Add the air-fried steak to the skillet with the veggies and stir to combine and heat through.
  6. Split the hoagie rolls, fill with the steak-veggie mixture, and top with a slice of provolone cheese.
  7. Place the assembled sandwiches in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
