- Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Toss them in a bowl with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface to about 12 inches wide. Place on parchment paper.
- Spread the apple mixture over the center of the crust, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold the crust edges over the apples, forming pleats to create a rustic shape.
- Brush the crust with beaten egg and sprinkle additional cinnamon if desired.
- Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Place galette in basket and cook for 15–18 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
