Preparation
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels for optimal crispiness.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In the last 5 minutes, brush the wings generously with BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
- Ensure the wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If not, cook for an additional 2-5 minutes.
Serving
- Remove from the air fryer and enjoy hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
