Ingredients

For the Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour for the base of the biscuits.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder to help them rise.
  • 1 teaspoon salt enhances the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed for that flaky texture.
  • 3/4 cup milk (or buttermilk) for moisture and tenderness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) to get it warmed up.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add Milk: Gradually stir in the milk until just combined. Avoid overmixing for tender biscuits!
  5. Shape the Dough: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead 2-3 times to bring it together. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds.
Cooking
  1. Air Fry the Biscuits: Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they’re not touching. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Serve Warm: Once done, carefully remove the biscuits and enjoy them warm!

Notes

Top Tips: Chill the butter for maximum flakiness, don’t overmix, and feel free to add cheese or herbs for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
