- Core each apple and slice them into thin wedges, being careful not to cut all the way through to keep the apple intact.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, oats, and chopped nuts.
- Drizzle lemon juice and melted butter over the sliced apples. Gently spoon the sugar mixture into the crevices of the apple slices.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the apples in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until they are tender and caramelized.
- Let them cool for a couple of minutes after cooking.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired, and enjoy warm!
