Ingredients

Wonton Filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened For easy mixing.
  • 1 cup Blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed and drained)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice Enhances the blueberry flavor.
Assembly
  • 1 package Wonton wrappers Typically found in the refrigerated section.
  • Cooking spray For a crispy finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to mush them.
Assembly
  1. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1-2 teaspoons of the filling into the center.
  2. Wet your finger with water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold over and pinch tightly to seal, creating a triangle shape.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the wontons with cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Allow the wontons to cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm, perhaps with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a side of dipping sauce!

Notes

For best results, don't overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking. You can substitute blueberries for other fruits or even chocolate chips for a different flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
