Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and spread it evenly in a greased baking dish that fits into your air fryer.
Cooking Brownies
- Cook the brownies in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool completely in the dish.
Assembling the Dessert
- Once the brownies are cool, scoop out a generous amount of softened ice cream and place it on top of the brownie layer. Spread it to cover the brownie thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whisk until soft peaks form.
- Spread the meringue over the ice cream layer, ensuring it fully covers the ice cream and reaches the edges of the brownie.
Cooking the Meringue
- Place the entire dessert back in the air fryer and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until the meringue is lightly golden.
- Remove from the air fryer, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
