Ingredients

For the Brownie Base
  • 1 batch brownie mix Prepared according to package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe
For the Ice Cream Layer
  • 1 pint your favorite ice cream Softened slightly for easy scooping
For the Meringue
  • 3 large egg whites For the meringue
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For meringue sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar Helps stabilize the meringue

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and spread it evenly in a greased baking dish that fits into your air fryer.
Cooking Brownies
  1. Cook the brownies in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let them cool completely in the dish.
Assembling the Dessert
  1. Once the brownies are cool, scoop out a generous amount of softened ice cream and place it on top of the brownie layer. Spread it to cover the brownie thoroughly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whisk until soft peaks form.
  3. Spread the meringue over the ice cream layer, ensuring it fully covers the ice cream and reaches the edges of the brownie.
Cooking the Meringue
  1. Place the entire dessert back in the air fryer and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until the meringue is lightly golden.
  2. Remove from the air fryer, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
