Ingredients

Burger Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken lean for a healthier option
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs for binding
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese adds flavor
  • 1 large egg acts as a binder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced for that savory kick
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika smoky flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray for a touch of crispiness
  • Burger buns for serving
  • Your favorite toppings lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty roughly 1 inch thick.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes while you prepare your patties.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Cooking
  1. Place the patties in the basket without overcrowding. Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  2. In the last 2 minutes, add the burger buns to the air fryer to lightly toast them.
  3. Remove the patties and buns, assemble with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!

Notes

Substitutions: Swap ground chicken for turkey or a plant-based alternative for a different flavor. Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place patties in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes or until heated through. You can freeze the uncooked patties. Just layer them with parchment paper in a freezer-safe container for convenience.
