- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and drain chickpeas thoroughly, then pat dry with a paper towel. Remove as much moisture as possible.
- In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin (optional), salt, and cayenne. Stir well to coat evenly.
- Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Watch closely near the end to prevent burning.
- Remove from the air fryer and allow chickpeas to cool slightly — they will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature.
