Preparation
- If using homemade chili, make sure it’s cooked and ready. Let it cool slightly.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pie crust to fit your air fryer basket. You can use a round cutter to make it fit perfectly.
Assembly
- Spread the chili evenly in the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- Generously sprinkle cheese over the chili.
- Place the rolled-out pie crust over the chili and cheese, pressing down the edges. Cut a few slits in the top for steam to escape.
- Brush the top of the crust with the beaten egg for a golden color.
Cooking
- Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.

Notes
You can easily swap the chili filling for chicken, vegetables, or quinoa for a different twist. Adjust the chili seasoning based on your family's taste by adding more warmth with cayenne or keeping it mild.
