- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Scoop tablespoon portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them on parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Arrange cookies in a single layer and air fry for 8–10 minutes.
- Let cookies cool for a few minutes in the fryer, then transfer to a wire rack.
