  • 4 medium-sized russet or baby potatoes cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Carefully slice each potato into thin slits, about 1/4 inch apart, leaving about 1/2 inch uncut at the bottom to keep them intact.
Seasoning
  1. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brush this mixture generously over the potatoes, ensuring to get into the slits.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Place the prepared potatoes in the air fryer basket, slightly spaced apart for even cooking.
  3. Cook the potatoes for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
  4. In the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle cheese and any additional toppings you desire.
Serving
  1. Once cooked to your liking, remove the potatoes from the air fryer, let them cool slightly, and serve warm.
