Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Fresh baby carrots Tender and sweet, perfect for roasting.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Adds a lovely sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil Helps the glaze stick and promotes crispiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Adds a hint of spice.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the carrots: If using baby carrots, rinse and pat them dry. For larger carrots, peel and cut them into even-sized sticks.
  3. In a large bowl, combine honey, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Add the carrots to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Place the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  2. Check for tenderness: Carrots should be tender when pierced with a fork. Air fry for an additional 1-2 minutes if needed.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, transfer the carrots to a serving dish and drizzle with any remaining glaze in the bowl.
