Preparation
- Cut mozzarella sticks into halves or thirds. Place them on a plate and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
Coating
- In a shallow bowl, add the flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Take each frozen cheese stick and roll it in the flour until coated. Shake off any excess.
- Dip the flour-coated cheese stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's completely covered.
- Roll the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Repeat with all sticks.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the coated mozzarella sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!
