Ingredients
  

For the Mozzarella Sticks
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks Cut into halves or thirds.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko works best for extra crunch.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour For coating the cheese.
  • 2 large eggs Beaten for egg wash.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adds flavor to the coating.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Optional but recommended for extra zest.
  • to taste salt and pepper To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut mozzarella sticks into halves or thirds. Place them on a plate and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
Coating
  1. In a shallow bowl, add the flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Take each frozen cheese stick and roll it in the flour until coated. Shake off any excess.
  3. Dip the flour-coated cheese stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's completely covered.
  4. Roll the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Repeat with all sticks.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the coated mozzarella sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Air fry for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!
