  • 2 large large onions, peeled and sliced into ¼-inch thick rings
  • 1 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

Preparation
  1. Slice your onions into ¼-inch thick rings and separate them into individual rings.
  2. In one bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Breading
  1. Dip each onion ring first into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches.
  3. Cook the onion rings for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once done, take them out and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
