Ingredients

Dough and Fillings
  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry Sheets Use store-bought for convenience.
  • 4 tablespoons Fruit jam (strawberry, blueberry, etc.) Choose your favorite flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate spread As an alternative filling.
For Finishing
  • 1 large Egg Beaten with a splash of water for egg wash.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For optional icing.
  • 2 tablespoons Milk To make the icing, optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  3. Cut the pastry into rectangles (about 3x4 inches), aiming for 8 rectangles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of your chosen filling in the center of half of the rectangles, leaving space around the edges.
  5. Top the filled rectangles with the remaining pastry pieces, pressing the edges with a fork to seal and poke a few holes in the top.
Cooking
  1. Brush the tops of the pop tarts with the egg wash.
  2. Place the pop tarts in the air fryer basket (in batches if necessary) and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Let them cool slightly before serving.
