Ingredients
  

For the apple filling
  • 2 medium medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great) Choose your favorite apple variety.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice preferred.
For the pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed) Ensure the puff pastry is thawed before use.
Optional toppings
  • to taste caramel sauce For drizzling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and slicing your apples into rings, removing the seeds and core as you go.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss the apple rings in this mixture until evenly coated.
  3. On a floured surface, gently roll out the puff pastry sheet. Cut it into strips about 1 inch wide.
  4. Take an apple ring and wrap a strip of puff pastry around it, overlapping slightly. Press the ends to seal.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the wrapped apple rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
  3. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, allow to cool for a few minutes before drizzling with caramel sauce, if desired.
