Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (1-inch thick, about 1 lb each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat both sides of the ribeye steaks generously with this seasoning blend.
  3. If using fresh herbs, place a sprig or two on top of each seasoned steak for added flavor.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
  2. Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for your desired doneness.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to lock in the juices.
  2. Cut the steaks against the grain, and enjoy your perfect air fryer ribeye with your favorite sides!

Notes

Thickness matters; for best results, choose steaks that are around 1-inch thick. Marinate or brine if you have time for added flavor and tenderness. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness and avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
