- Set your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in the eggs.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients and stir until combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough, roll into a ball, and coat with cinnamon sugar. Place in air fryer basket with space between cookies.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden. They should be soft but set.
- Let cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes
To prevent overcrowding, bake in batches if needed. For a crunchier exterior, add an extra minute of cook time. You can freeze unbaked dough balls for later — just add 1-2 minutes to the air fry time when baking from frozen.
