  • 1 pound fresh okra, sliced into ½-inch pieces Ensure to wash the okra well.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For coating the okra.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste for spice level.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • optional Fresh lime wedges for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and slice the okra into ½-inch pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the sliced okra to the bowl and toss until each piece is well coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Spread the seasoned okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
  3. Check for doneness; the okra should be golden brown and crispy. Feel free to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes if necessary.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, serve immediately with lime wedges on the side if desired.

Notes
