Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened For easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Adjust based on your sweetness preference
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract For a flavorful boost
  • 1/2 cup Fresh strawberries, diced Or use your favorite berry
  • 1 large Egg, beaten with a tablespoon of water For sealing
  • 14-16 sheets Wonton wrappers Use for optimal filling
  • Cooking spray Optional, for an extra crispy finish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the diced strawberries, ensuring they are well distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about a tablespoon of the cheesecake mixture to the center of the wrapper.
  4. Brush the edges with the egg wash, fold the wrapper over the filling diagonally to create a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes while you prepare the wontons.
  6. Arrange the wontons in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches). Spray lightly with cooking spray if desired.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer, allow to cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftover wontons in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze uncooked wontons in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer bag. Reheat in air fryer for 3-5 minutes to regain crispness. Experiment with different fruits or flavorings for filling.
