Ingredients

For the Strudel
  • 1 package pre-made puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup your favorite fruit preserves or filling (strawberry, blueberry, or apple works great!)
  • 1 unit egg (for egg wash)
For Icing (optional)
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk For icing
  • to taste powdered sugar For icing
Optional Enhancements
  • to taste cinnamon or vanilla extract For enhanced flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles (about 3×5 inches).
  2. Spoon a small amount of your chosen fruit preserve onto one half of each rectangle, leaving space around the edges to seal.
  3. Fold the pastry over to cover the filling, then press the edges with a fork to seal securely.
  4. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each strudel for a golden finish.
Cooking
  1. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Place the strudels in the air fryer basket (in batches if needed) and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool slightly and mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk for icing. Drizzle over the cooled strudels.
