A quick and delicious twist on the classic tuna melt sandwich, cooked to crispy perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can canned tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 slices bread (your choice)
  • to taste salt & pepper

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until blended.
  2. Spread an even layer of the tuna salad on one slice of bread, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, then top with the second slice of bread.
  3. Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3–5 minutes.
  4. Carefully place the assembled tuna melts in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve even crispiness.
  5. The bread should be golden brown, and the cheese melted. If not fully melted, air fry for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  6. Remove carefully and let cool for a minute before slicing in half and serving.
