- In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until blended.
- Spread an even layer of the tuna salad on one slice of bread, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, then top with the second slice of bread.
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3–5 minutes.
- Carefully place the assembled tuna melts in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve even crispiness.
- The bread should be golden brown, and the cheese melted. If not fully melted, air fry for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Remove carefully and let cool for a minute before slicing in half and serving.
