Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces turkey legs (thawed, if frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the turkey legs dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy finish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the turkey legs thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the turkey legs in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
  5. Air fry the turkey legs for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through until the skin is crisp and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Allow the turkey legs to rest for 5 minutes before serving to seal in the juices.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Experiment with different spice blends and marinate the turkey legs overnight for more flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and reheat in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
