These Apple Hand Pies are warm, flaky, and bursting with cinnamon-spiced apple filling. Easy to make in an air fryer or oven, they're the perfect handheld dessert for gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5–6 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Knife or pastry cutter

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Gradually add cold water until the mixture holds together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped apples, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let sit for a few minutes.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into squares. Add filling, fold over, and crimp edges to seal.
  6. Preheat your air fryer or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg. Bake or air fry for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes
