- Gather unflavored gelatin, water or juice, and sweetener, if desired. Make sure your tools, such as a whisk and a mixing bowl, are handy.
- In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of cold water or juice with 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms and thickens.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm another 1 cup of water or juice until steaming, but not boiling.
- Slowly pour the blooming gelatin mixture into the warm liquid while whisking continuously to help dissolve the gelatin completely.
- Stir in your chosen sweetener until dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the gelatin mixture into a mold or dish. Allow it to cool at room temperature until slightly thickened, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
- Once fully set, cut it into cubes or enjoy it as is, appreciating its smooth texture.
