Preparation
  1. Gather unflavored gelatin, water or juice, and sweetener, if desired. Make sure your tools, such as a whisk and a mixing bowl, are handy.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of cold water or juice with 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms and thickens.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm another 1 cup of water or juice until steaming, but not boiling.
  4. Slowly pour the blooming gelatin mixture into the warm liquid while whisking continuously to help dissolve the gelatin completely.
  5. Stir in your chosen sweetener until dissolved.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the gelatin mixture into a mold or dish. Allow it to cool at room temperature until slightly thickened, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  7. Once fully set, cut it into cubes or enjoy it as is, appreciating its smooth texture.
