Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef The heart of the dish, providing protein and robust flavor.
  • 12 oz cheese tortellini These delightful pasta pockets are filled with creamy cheese.
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz) Adds a tangy base to enhance flavor and moisture.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lush, creamy texture; can substitute with milk.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Melts into gooey perfection; can mix with other cheeses.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Infuses the dish with aromatic warmth.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Add fresh herbs for a more robust flavor.
  • Salt & pepper to taste Essential for balancing flavors.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble the ground beef and cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well combined and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the tortellini, ensuring they’re evenly coated in the sauce. Sprinkle a handful of mozzarella cheese into the mixture.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased oven-safe baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy.
