Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter, then mix in granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt to the mixture, and fold until combined.
  4. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment, then pour the brownie batter into the dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine pecans, corn syrup, and sugar, then pour this mixture over the brownie batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is bubbly and the brownie layer is set.
  2. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
