Ingredients

Pasta and Protein
  • 12 oz Bowtie pasta (farfalle) Provides a lovely shape that captures the creamy sauce.
  • 1 lb Ground beef Can be substituted with turkey, chicken, or plant-based ground meat.
Creamy Sauce Ingredients
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Creates a rich and creamy sauce; low-fat options can be used.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Enhances the creaminess; can be replaced with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning The star ingredient for the spicy flavor profile.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated works best.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil Used for cooking the beef.
  • 0.5 cup Fresh parsley For garnish.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add the bowtie pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes.
Preparing the Beef
  1. While the pasta cooks, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Sauté for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning and stir to combine for about another 2 minutes.
Making the Sauce
  1. Reduce heat to low and add cream cheese and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir continuously until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
Combining Everything
  1. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the beef mixture, tossing thoroughly.
  2. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  3. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
