Preparation
- Gather your ingredients: honey, lemon juice, fresh ginger, mint leaves, and warm water.
- In a pot, heat about 2 cups of water on medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- While the water heats, slice about an inch of fresh ginger and wash a small handful of mint leaves.
- In a large cup, add the ginger slices and mint leaves. Pour the warmed water over them and let steep for about 5 minutes.
- After steeping, add 2 tablespoons of honey and the juice of half a lemon. Stir until the honey is dissolved.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more honey or lemon juice if desired.
- Serve warm, or cool down and serve over ice for a refreshing drink.
