Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, green bell pepper, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until the mixture is well combined, but do not overmix.
  3. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan to form the base.
  4. Layer half of the provolone cheese, mushrooms, green onions, and roasted red peppers over the meat mixture.
  5. Top with the remaining meat mixture and press the edges to seal the filling inside.
Baking
  1. Bake the meatloaf for 1 hour or until it is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining provolone cheese over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve slices of this savory meatloaf with a side of vegetables or mashed potatoes for a satisfying meal.
