Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) to ensure even cooking.

- Drain excess fat and add the chili beans, diced tomatoes with chilies, and taco seasoning to the skillet. Stir and allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes.
Assembly
- In a baking dish, spread the chili mixture evenly at the bottom.
- Layer half of the shredded cheese over the chili, then place the tater tots on top.
- Cover the tater tots with the remaining cheese.
Baking
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
