Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped cilantro, for garnish (optional)

  • Air fryer or slow cooker Use either method to cook the shrimp
  • mixing bowl For marinating shrimp
  • Whisk or fork To mix marinade ingredients
  • tongs To flip or serve shrimp

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place shrimp in a single layer in the basket and cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. OR – Slow Cooker Method: Place shrimp and marinade into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 1.5–2 hours until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, if using, before serving.
  6. Serve hot with rice, tacos, or salad and enjoy!

Notes

You can cook this in either the air fryer or slow cooker depending on your time and preference. The shrimp also works great as taco filling or atop salad bowls!
