  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, sliced Tender cuts ideal for quick cooking
  • 4 cups broccoli florets, chopped Fresh florets provide crunch and nutrients
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce Base of our savory sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch Thickening agent for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oil For cooking
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced Aromatic flavor enhancer
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced Aromatic flavor enhancer

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  2. Mince the garlic and ginger and set them aside.
Marination
  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the beef in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set it aside.
  3. In the same pan, add an additional tablespoon of oil, followed by minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender and bright green.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add an additional 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and stir well to combine.
  6. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with water and drizzle it in. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken.
Serving
  1. Serve hot over rice or noodles and enjoy.
