Preparation
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- Mince the garlic and ginger and set them aside.
Marination
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the beef in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add an additional tablespoon of oil, followed by minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender and bright green.
- Return the beef to the pan, add an additional 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and stir well to combine.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with water and drizzle it in. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken.
