Ingredients

Scone Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour for the classic scone base
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar sweetens the dough perfectly
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder helps the scones rise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt enhances flavor
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed for that rich, tender texture
  • 1/2 cup milk brings everything together
  • 1 cup chocolate chips because who can resist chocolate?

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a circle about 1-inch thick. Cut into triangles or wedges.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. Place the scone pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

You can customize with additional ingredients like nuts or dried fruits. For extra fluffiness, don't over-knead the dough. Best served fresh!
