Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are set but still soft.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
