Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats Offers heartiness and fiber.
  • ½ cup peanut butter Creamy and binds the bites together.
  • cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweetness that also helps with binding.
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips Adds a decadent chocolate flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances the flavors.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, dark chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Use a spatula or your hands to mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  3. The mixture should be sticky and hold together when pressed. If too dry, add more honey or peanut butter; if too sticky, add more oats.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  5. Once chilled, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
  6. Place the formed energy bites on a parchment-lined tray and return them to the fridge for another 10 minutes to firm up.
  7. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.
