Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, and ½ cup of cheese. Stir until well mixed.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the chicken mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Evenly distribute the frozen tater tots over the chicken mixture.
Baking
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
