Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes), breaking apart with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Adding Aromatics
  1. Once the beef is browned, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, around 3-4 minutes.
Making the Cream Base
  1. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
  1. Add cooked pasta to the creamy beef sauce, tossing until well combined. Add reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired sauce consistency.
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove from heat and stir in grated cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning.
