Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and press it into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, sealing any seams to create a uniform crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and the large egg using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  4. Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in your preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
  2. Once baked, allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into squares or rectangles.
  3. Just before serving, dust the bars with powdered sugar and add any desired toppings such as fresh fruit or a chocolate drizzle.

Notes
