Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and press it into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, sealing any seams to create a uniform crust.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and the large egg using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in your preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Once baked, allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into squares or rectangles.
- Just before serving, dust the bars with powdered sugar and add any desired toppings such as fresh fruit or a chocolate drizzle.

Notes
Make sure your cream cheese is softened for a smooth filling. Keep leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. These bars can be frozen for up to 3 months. Experiment with flavors by adding lemon zest or folding in chocolate chips.
