Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 large chicken breasts, pounded to an even thickness
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style for extra flavor)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • as needed Olive oil spray

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pounded chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Coating
  1. In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  2. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. Spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil spray.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).
  3. Remove the chicken, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with shredded mozzarella.
  4. Air fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  2. Serve with your favorite sides!

Notes
