Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1-2 tsp chipotle powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • as needed fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, chipotle powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture under and over the skin of the chicken. Let sit for 15–30 minutes.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place chicken thighs skin-side up in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temp hits 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
