Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin Look for high-quality gelatin or collagen powder.
  • 2 cups fruit juice or herbal tea Opt for fresh-pressed juice or unsweetened herbal tea.
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup Optional; use sparingly for a low-calorie version.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients—gelatin, fruit juice or herbal tea, and optional sweeteners.
  2. Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of gelatin with 1/2 cup of cold fruit juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes gelatinous.
  3. Heat the Mixture: In a saucepan over low heat, warm another 1 1/2 cups of fruit juice (or herbal tea) just until steaming—avoid boiling.
  4. Combine: Pour the warm juice over the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sweeten (Optional): If you prefer a sweeter taste, stir in a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup until dissolved.
  6. Chill: Pour the mixture into molds or a container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  7. Serve: Once set, remove from molds or slice, and enjoy your delicious and satisfying gelatin!
