Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 8 thick slices brioche bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Fresh strawberry slices
  • Maple syrup or strawberry sauce

Method
 

  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Fold in strawberries and jam gently.
  2. Spread about 3 tablespoons of filling onto 4 bread slices. Top with remaining slices and press edges.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a shallow dish.
  4. Heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  5. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Cook 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Cool sandwiches for 2 minutes, slice, and garnish with powdered sugar and strawberries.
