Preparation
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss to coat evenly.
Cooking Chicken
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Place the chicken in a single layer and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, add butter and the remaining olive oil. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 1 to 2 minutes to reduce.
Finishing Touches
- Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter sauce.
- Stir in chopped parsley and hot sauce if using. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve warm.
