  • 12 ounces Pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne) Choose your favorite. Whole wheat or gluten-free options work as well.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Adds aromatic richness.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Provides creamy texture and rich flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Enhances flavors of garlic.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated) Star ingredient for nutty flavor.
  • to taste Salt and black pepper To balance and enhance flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley (freshly chopped) For garnish, adds freshness.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed garlic. Stir well to coat the pasta.
  2. Gradually sprinkle in the grated Parmesan while stirring, adding reserved pasta water until a creamy consistency is reached.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss together until well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and toss in freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes
